The English Defence League (EDL) is a far-right street protest movement which opposes Islamism in the United Kingdom. Following the attack of a soldier in Woolwich, more than 100 supporters of the EDL gathered in protest and fought with police. Members of the Muslim community in London have responded to the attack as in no way being a representation of their religion, and they urge people not to believe far-right’s propagandised view of hatred towards Islam.

A British soldier was hacked to death in south east London metres away from his barracks by two men with meat cleavers ranting “We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you”.

Three women who were abducted about a decade ago were found alive on Monday at a Cleveland house near where at least two of them were last seen and a school bus driver was arrested in connection with their disappearance, police said. A neighbor in the community said he heard screams and rushed to the house where he found one of the women, Amanda Berry, who was reported missing a decade ago as a teenager. He lent her his cell phone to call police. “Help me! I’m Amanda Berry…I’ve been kidnapped and I’ve been missing for 10 years and I’m here. I’m free now.” Berry said.

The world’s first fully functioning gun made from a 3D printer will be available for download next week. The handgun uses 16 printed parts that are clipped together and can be fitted with interchangeable barrels to fire different-caliber rounds. The only non-printed part needed to fire is a simple nail, which acts as the firing pin.

Gunshots pierced the fog of marijuana smoke hanging in Denver’s Civic Center on Saturday afternoon, sending attendees at the largest pot smokeout in the country scrambling for their lives. Denver police said two people who were shot in their legs were rushed to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Also, a juvenile grazed by a bullet walked to a nearby hospital. F**king hell America what are you doing? Can’t even enjoy a nice day in the park without some idiot shooting up the place.

A massive explosion just rocked a fertilizer plant near Waco, Texas. Dozens have been confirmed killed, while authorities are reportedly warning residents that they should evacuate town as soon as possible. The explosion occurred around 7:50pm local time in the town of West, north of Waco. A fireball of nearly 100 feet high has been reported along with a massive power outage. “Law enforcement is advising residents to leave town immediately,” West’s school district tweeted, potentially due to fears of another explosion.

The Boston Marathon bombs may have been packed with ball bearings, which could explain why so many victims lost feet, calves and ankles in the horrific explosions. Two bombs exploded in the packed streets near the finish line of the Boston Marathon today, killing three and injuring more than 144 in a terrifying scene of shattered glass, bloodstained pavement and severed limbs at the world’s oldest and most prestigious marathon.

There was no word on the motive or who may have carried out the attack, and police said they had no suspects in custody. However, at least two people are “talking with police”. At the White House, President Barack Obama vowed that those responsible will “feel the full weight of justice.”

Beginning in February, students throughout Quebec began protesting against a proposed 75 percent hike in the cost of their tuition. Quebec’s government responded by passing a controversial emergency law that places strict limits on free assembly, requiring demonstrators to submit protest plans and receive police approval. Over in Brussels 8 gunmen have made off with 50 million dollars worth of rough cut diamonds stolen from the cargo of a plane bound for Switzerland. The only “evidence” police have discovered is a burned up van. They believe it was set on fire to destroy fingerprints and other trace evidence. Police have no leads as the manhunt for 8 masked men continues.
